ALL-FILL, INC. ACQUIRES RE-PACK LABELING MACHINERY

BRANDING UPDATE:
In November of 2018, just after the Pack Expo International trade show in Chicago, All-Fill acquired the exclusive rights to Re-Pack Labelers of Lansdale, PA. Re-Pack, founded by Rick Surprise in 1994, was a small labeling company that was originally founded as a labeler repair business. "At the time, All-Fill had the potential to provide more machinery than ever before for a complete packaging line," said Kyle Edginton. "We were looking to make an acquisition that would allow us to manufacture more machinery that also fit perfectly with the fillers, checkweighers, and VFFS machines that we were already making. Given that Rick Surprise was local, and we had a nice relationship throughout the years, Re-Pack was the perfect fit."
Rick Surprise was integral in helping Re-Pack relocate to All-Fill's manufacturing home in Exton, although the original plan was to keep Re-Pack in place in Lansdale. Quickly, it became evident that manufacturing under the same roof was important for synergy, quality, and maintaining lead times. Not only did Surprise assist with the move, but he was also very valuable in bridging the former ways of Re-Pack and assimilating the manufacturing process of the labeling machines to All-Fill. Rick was always willing to help, in the field, on the shop floor, or working with the assemblers. Rick passed down his intricate knowledge of labeling machines to the All-Fill team.
In making the acquisition of the labeler, All-Fill was now positioned very nicely as a major player in the packaging machinery space who was capable of end-to-end integration. The thought process at the time was to leverage the existing All-Fill customers with a new product line and target Re-Pack's customers with the stability of the All-Fill product line which had been well established since 1969. As part of the acquisition, All-Fill initially brought over 4 full-time Re-Pack employees to work at All-Fill.
